Members of the '2 Good 2 Toss' team make their annual donation to Campus Ministry.
An annual event at Niagara University, “2 Good 2 Toss” rescues a significant amount of material from becoming landfill, several truckloads in fact. Sharon Green, Coordinator of Instructional Services, noticed the large amount of items being thrown into the dumpsters outside her office at the end of the school year. Teaming up with other NU employees participating in the Vincentian Mission Certificate Program, “2 Good 2 Toss” was born. This initiative collects students’ usable items from the dorms, rather than tossing them in dumpsters or leaving them behind at the end of the school year. These donations are then sold at a university-sponsored garage sale, with proceeds going to Campus Ministry as emergency funds for NU students and to the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
