Teaching about Poverty

Founded upon the vision of Vincent de Paul, the patron saint of charity, the mission of Niagara University addresses poverty on many levels: through the research of our faculty, community service and especially in the classroom. Academically, Niagara University is unique in standing as one of only a few universities throughout the country to offer students a minor in Poverty Studies. The Vincentian Poverty Studies Minor is open to all students and is designed to foster serious consideration of poverty within their chosen fields.
